Pick one benchmark
Choose a single timer length before you compare scores. Mixing one-second bursts with thirty-second runs makes progress harder to read.
Warm up lightly
Use a short warm-up round before chasing a score. Hands tend to perform better after a few controlled attempts.
Watch consistency
A stable average across several runs is a better signal than one perfect attempt. Use recent history to see whether your baseline is moving.
Avoid strain
Stop when your wrist or fingers feel tense. Speed practice should be short, deliberate, and easy to recover from.
